Focus on improving instruction in science, technology, engineering and math and on helping provide the career and technical training that can lead to well paying jobs in the tri-state region of pennsylvania, ohio and west virginia
The Appalachia Partnership Initiative (API) invests in programs that engage students in science, technology, engineering and math in preparation for careers in the region's high-demand occupations in the energy and manufacturing growth sectors.
Support for post-secondary programs focuses on workforce development training, apprenticeships, and certifications in energy and advanced manufacturing industries. Invest in training and career pathways to keep pace with skill demand. Engage community colleges and training providers to help shape programs to build core skills required across many occupations.
